Airhall
During the winter months 2 of the acrylic courts are covered by an airhall to
enable indoor play.
The airhall is subject to planning rules and cannot go up before 1st October and
must come down by 1st May. It is normally available from mid October to mid
April.
Airhall Booking Regulations
1. Only Club Members may book the airhall but can be accompanied by visitors
with the normal rules and rates applying.
2. There must be one member (not Associate) playing per court who can be
accompanied by up to a maximum of 3 visitors. The member is responsible for
paying the airhall time slot fee and visitors fee and making the appropriate
entry in the visitors book before using the court.(The number of occasions
a visitor may play is limited to 3 times in a year. Visitors Fee: Adults £4 and
Juniors £2.50 per occasion.)
3. The airhall should be locked when not in use. The first 'booked' player needs
to take the key off the hook in the Clubhouse lobby beside booking sheets,
unlock the revolving doors, and place the key inside the airhall on top of
"protective grill' beside the revolving door. At the end of airhall play, if no
'booked' player or coach arrives, or if it is the final night slot, switch off
the lights, lock the revolving door and return the key to the Clubhouse lobby
hook and check Clubhouse door has shut tight. Also if it is the final night
session, check the entrance gate has shut tight behind you on the way
out.

not resold, a cancellation fee of £5 will be charged for slots before 8pm
weekdays but the full booking fee is charged for slots from 8pm weekdays and
all day weekends. No further courts can be booked until cancellation fee paid.
7. The Duty Steward at the Clubhouse Bar will issue a receipt coupon with
the date, time and court number for the slot purchased, initialled by the
Steward selling the slot.
8. Payment is non refundable and all monies go towards maintaining the Club's
facilities. A member may pass on a receipt coupon to another member to use.
9. Nothing less than a one hour slot can initially be purchased but should you
stay on court longer than the purchased slot there is a minimum additional fee
for each half an hour - see Regulation 12.
10. You can only book a court up to two weeks in advance but you may book more
than one time slot. Payment must be made before you play.
11. Before going off duty, the Duty Steward, having copied in all bookings for
the next 24 hours from the 'master copy' to the 'lobby copy', will leave the
'lobby copy' in the lobby. The 'master copy' is retained at all times within
the Clubhouse Bar.
GENERAL
12. Complete honesty is required by every member, no cheating please! The court
fee must be paid before using the court. If you decide to stay on the court for
longer than your booked slot when court not required by others, immediately at
the end of your booked slot, please break from play, quickly go to the
clubhouse and pay your additional payment before continuing – add on minimum
charge is for half an hour, e.g., even if you stay on for 10 minutes, you have
to pay an additional fee for half an hour.
13. In order to be fair to all members, should anyone abuse the above procedure,
the Club will invoice the person for the amount unpaid plus an additional £15
surcharge. If it happens on a second occasion, the member will again be
invoiced but also notified that they are not allowed to use the airhall again
for a year. CCTV in the airhall is monitoring play.
CLUB COACHES only
14. Individual Lesson rate: £8 per court hour at all times for a booked court
(this rate is to encourage indoor coaching for members). For individual lessons
only, when a court has not been booked by anyone else up to one minute before,
only Club Coaches can have a walk on rate of £6 per court hour for the
remaining part of the hour, about 55 minutes. The court booking cancellation
fee can be 'waivered' at the Coach's discretion for pupils having weekly multi
